This morning Julien said he thought he would lose his tooth today. He was right!
You may notice that his big teeth are coming in behind his little teeth. They call this "shark teeth." Supposedly the big teeth will move forward into their correct spot as soon as the little teeth come in. We shall see!

British soccer camp
Julien went to British soccer camp all last week. Sebastian was very jealous. Julien, on the other hand, didn't enjoy it as much as I expected. When I picked him up at noon he was so warn out he could hardly speak. On the last day every one was assigned a country for a pretend world cup and he was assigned USA. He was disappointed he didn't get Italy.
On his final evaluation he was given the highest marks for enthusiasm and tackling (getting the ball away from another player). THis week he is going to a science camp offered by Wonderlab. He seems to be enjoying it more.

As I left the office
As I left the office I saw this scene. The Jordan river had overflowed and had flooded a large campus parking lot right by sample gates as well as the surrounding streets. Luckily, I didn't park there. I do sometimes. But one woman from my office did, and after it had receded a bit she got into her car and found five inches of water. Even Kirkwood was flooded.
It was a scary drive home with lots of detours, but I made it!
This flood reminded me of a flood I experienced when I lived in Tucson. I remember that Speedway was flooded with about two feet of water. Tanya and I went on a visit to our friend Mona who lived on the other side of the street, and waded through the water. I remember that Mona, and her parents did NOT think it was a good idea that we had waded through the water, but we thought it was great fun. I also remember that when my mom drove home she had water get into the car when she drove through some of the flooded water.

Back at home- the flood
A few days after we got back in town we had crazy flooding. In these photos you can see flooding at a building right by my office building. Out my window I could see a campus road flooded at about a foot or higher and water cascading down steps like a water fall. Very similar to this scene. I did not take these photos.
Julien and Benjamin
Julien loved playing with Benjamin. The feeling was mutual.
