As you can see, Julien expended a lot of energy on our camping trip. He also stayed up till about 10:00 every night. We were very busy. We went on a hay-ride (the big excitement was Zoe loosing a flip flop over the side) and a pony ride and then Julien got to hold a tiny baby. Julien was very cute and very careful. He just sighed, sat back and relaxed. He also kissed baby Vivian's little feet.
Perhaps one of Julien most fun moments was when the girls (who were 5 and 7) started to tease him in his tent. They chanted "JULIE ANN SWEETIE PIE" through the tent window and he would squeal and laugh with delight and throw himself on the inflatable mattress and then stick his head out the bottom of the tent door until they came back again. Pretty soon almost all of the kids were doing it. He didn't catch that they were changing his name into a girls name, and I don't think he would have cared if he did. Ah, the joys of early flirting.
