We had some spring weather recently so we took the boys to the park to poke around. Julien and Emmett enjoyed the newly melted stream. It got quite muddy. We found some raccoon footprints, and then added our own. We returned home quite muddy, but very happy.
We read Julien and Sebastian a book together at bedtime. Sebastian feels that the evening is incomplete if he doesn't get a little bit of time under his brothers covers. 
Once again we received balloons, chocolates and a couple small valentine presents from Grandmum and Grandad, which were much appreciated. The boys enjoyed creating a sea scene with some of the new sea animals. They were, of course, wild about the balloons. At first Sebastian exclaimed that Santa had come, but Julien quickly corrected him. Julien also had a nice valentine party at school.
The second part of the project was creating the city. First we created the basic layout by painting roads, greenery and water on paper. Then we built the city with blocks and vehicles. It was so much fun to play with that we left it up for a couple days after the photo shoot.
This was part one. We elaborated on the silky capes we got at natural elements and the boys were very enthusiastic. The jumps were super fun. How often does mom ask you to jump off the coach? 
Julien has had a good month at school. His teacher told us that we no longer need to track his daily progress. In celebration, we had ice cream sundaes. Yum!
Julien decided to create a grid of roadways and air strips in the family room. Sebastian thought it was great, but once it was first set up didn't want Julien moving any of the vehicles around. This of course led to some arguments. You can see the the helicopters and airplanes are all set up on clear glass jars so they seem to be suspended in midair.
We used the remains of the snowmen to build a fort. Then we had a good snowball fight, with the rule that we couldn't throw snow balls at Sebastian.
Julien was waiting for the moment to throw a snow ball. Emmett was glad to join in.
It is significantly warmer today (in the 40's) so the snow is very wet and good for buildng snowmen. We all had fun in the snow today, even Sebastian!
